My name is Onur Aybar and I am a ux designer based in Maryland. I have a project that I am working on for a friend who is a graphic designer and need some help in modifying the WayFinder snippet to achieve a desired effect on the clients portfolio page.
Essentially what I am trying to do is use the Jquery Scroll To Plug In (
http://demos.flesler.com/jquery/localScroll/) to slide the portfolio items and then use the WayFinder snippet to display these items based on the following format.
The portfolio will consist of four sections, Print, Web, Branding and display graphics. I want each to be a container document on the back end.
Then I want each individual work to be a document that the client can add a photo to and a little information about the project. I want the client to be able to create a new document under the appropriate parent document and then have it displayed in the correct category.
---Notes
To sum up exactly what I am trying to accomplish you can check out another project that I have completed at
rafetshm.com
You will see how I used the Scroll To plug in to display the content on that site. The format for the Divs that are scrolled to are simple:
I use the onclick event and call the each section via the li id. So for her portfolio, Print would be <div id="printparent"> and then all sub-documents in that section would be called as li’s. Then each section can be scrolled through.
<div class="printparent">
<ul>
<li class="print" id="section1">
CONTENT HERE
</li>
<a href="#section1a" class="next">Next</a>
<li class="print" id="section1a">
CONTENT HERE
</li>
<a href="#section1b" class="next">Next</a>
<li class="print" id="section1b">
CONTENT HERE
</li>
<a href="#section1a" class="back">Back</a>
</ul>
</div>
I hope that this is clear enough for people to understand. I also have a jpeg of the portfolio mock up that I can email to anyone who is interested.
I spoke to one MODx developer about this and he said that WayFinder could be modified pretty easily to do this but I lost touch and need someone to examine the idea.
If you think that this can be achieved please forward me a quote to modify the snippet or to jump in and provide a solution to achieve this concept.
We can use my MODx site as a testing ground if needed.
Please contact me at

Thank you
