    Hi,

I built a MODx site for a Catholic Church client last year.

They need updates, have questions, and sometimes gentle reminders (about how to do things on their own) once in a while. You might expect to get 1-2 emails per month from them.

I was billing them at a below-market-rate $12 per hour, billed post-pay. They will likely need to mail you a check or give you the credit card number on the phone.

They pay their own hosting costs and they have a small company that provides them good customer service for hosting.

I’m looking for someone to take over this account. If you’re also willing to learn a little bit about Deki Wiki, they have a Deki Wiki that they use also. With the Deki, the major tasks are very few, and anyone can learn it fairly quickly.

    (1) Remove permissions for ex-committee members
    (2) Add new committee members and email a "welcome kit" to the new member
    (3) Do spring clean-up
    (4) Call or email the hosting company when the server crashes (about once every 3 months.)

This is a nice client for a college student or a young startup. They’re friendly and appreciative. Obviously you’re not going to make a lot of money with them, but they will stick with you, and I’m sure will help you by giving ample testimonials or high marks about your work.

Obviously I’m looking for someone who

    (1) either is Catholic, or is willing to be respectful and supportive of their projects
    (2) is willing to stay committed to them as a client so that they do not have to change providers in the near future
    (3) is patient and will explain things and provide them excellent customer service.

Send me a note if you have interest.

    Thanks -

    John
