A tutorial, example, instruction on setting the CMS so that my client can give out user names and passwords to members and have them login and only have control over changing their portion of content on the members page? On the members page that lists everyone I’ll need just a Name, Business Name, and web site url. Then click on the persons name linked to a page of their own where a list of more detailed information will appear.

Not sure where to start with this?
    Your help is much appreciated,

I don’t know of any specific tutorial (though there may be one), but take a look at the WebLoginPE snippet, which lets users edit their profiles.

I should also mention that MODx Revolution has some nice tools for this as part of the Login package and lets you define the ID of the tree root for each user so each user can only see their part of the Resource tree, though the documentation is still a little sparse.
