Hello there,
we’re looking for an experienced ModX developer to implement a change to the Export-to-HMTL feature:
This built-in feature ALMOST does what we need, but we will need some changes and testing to make sure it works;
Our CMS website admin needs to be able to export a (fixed) number of sections/folders of the website, in order to burn them onto a CDROM for distribution.
So the "Export HTML" feature needs to be tweaked to:
1. only export certain main folders/ignore folders (this can probably be hard-coded with folder IDs if needed, or use TVs)
2. ensure all navigation links within this section work as relative links (so it’ll run on a CDROM)
3. ensure css, images, PDF downloads are included, copied and linked correctly
4. the script then needs to grab a few additional, static, files (e.g. a generic "index.htm" file etc) from a given folder, then ideally ZIP everything up and return a download link, or copy it over in the right structure into a folder for FTP download.
5. if this can even be implemented as a proper admin module, rather than a hack to the Export HTML screen that would be great, but not essential.
Please get in touch with chris{a}bravemedia.net to get more details,
and let us know about your modx experience and expected timescale & cost.
Thanks,
Chris

Have you found someone to do this project?
I’m just curious to know whether you found any takers for your project. I just started working on a similar project and ’have been looking through whatever documentation is available but I haven’t found an easy solution yet. Let me know if you can.
thanks
