I have a client who wants to convert and migrate an old ASP + Access Find a Club module over to a pre-existing MODx site. There’s no surprises here, it’s a precisely scoped project, and you’ll have full access to the source DB / code.

    Search page:
Fields: Keyword textbox, Season radio buttons, Age group checkboxes, Suburb multiple-select list, Extended Area select box (5, 10, 15km).

    Search Results page
Lists the matching rows, with links to the Details page. Very simple.

    Details page:
Lists detailed fields and has the ability to show the location on a Google map.

Add / edit / del Club page:
Requires a MODx user. When the club is being stored in the DB, it must also fetch lat + long values via a geocoding service (Google is best, I suppose)

    Users:
Users must be ported from the old DB to MOdDx, along with the currently entered Clubs. As of this exact moment in time, I’m not sure whether the current user DB has the passwords hashed. If it turns out they are and it causes a lot of problems, you can revise your quote.

The only slightly difficult bit of this project is the Extended Area / Geocoding stuff. The way it’s currently working is a spatial compare on the lat/long to find matching rows. This is all doable in MySQL, so it’s not a big deal. The rest is basic CRUD and a little bit of DB porting.

Payment will be by Paypal. I’d prefer to be contacted off-list with a quote, my email is themselves at gmail dot com. This project should be a quick in and out, so if you’re interested, let me know.
