MODx star required to develop website for a collection of record labels

I’ve been dabbling for all of 2 days with several scripts for my forthcoming record label group website and I reckon the MODx platform is the way to go.

While I do have a rough template worked out I have limited understanding on how to really make the web space my own, from such simple things as changing the logo right through to being shown how to install flash files. I need a fully functioning shopping cart facility for physical product and virtual downloads (I’ve already dabbled with the working off downloads with ’Payloadz’) I need to know how to integrate this into the MODx framework so I can add/edit the content myself.

Initial budget is £200 payable via paypal on completion. I have a total of 6 record labels and while this initial website is my first foray into truly independent virtual territory I’d hope to eventually develop websites for each label I run. Basically as my business grows so does my need to employ a MODx star.

Finally is MODx a secure & stable platform for this purpose?
