    Hi,

I need to have multiple galleries on 1 page on a Modx site.
I’ve tried copying the snippet call, but it just duplicates the gallery, showing the thumbs twice.

Can this be done? and can anyone give me a quote for a solution to this.

    Thanks. smiley

    Best regards

The gallery images are stored in folders by document ID so I’d doubt it’s possible to organise two galleries in one page.

You can specify the gallery you want to display in your snippet by referencing the document ID.

So you could create a gallery on the page and another on a child page which is hidden from the site navigation. The child page gallery could then be pulled in by referencing the document ID in a second snippet call in the parent page.

I appreciate that’s not the best of solutions but I hope it helps you.

hmm I open for everything laugh

So I put this snippet in the container that holds the different galleries?
        [!MaxiGallery? &display=`embedded` &embedtype=`slimbox` &pics_per_row=`5` &max_thumb_size=`60` &max_pic_size=`0` &thumb_use_dropshadow=`0` &childgalleries_ids=`67,68` !] ?

        Thanks for your reply!

Hi all, displaying multiple instances of a specific module is rather a common problem. If you are still interested in presentation of multiple photo collections on a single page you can look at the thing I did for my site. Proper handling of multiple instances was the main motive that prompted me for coding it -- http://setpro.net.pl/software/multiple-galleries

I am trying to achieve something similar I think... I need a "global" gallery, spread over several templates... and some templates have their own "local" galleries...

The problem arrives when I try to add pictures to that "local" galleries, things get weird and buggy...

I have tried to explain it here: http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,50971.0.html

maybe someone found a way to solve that?
