    Hey guys

I’ve been using Modx for sometime, mainly for basic website content management.

However, my current situation is slightly different.

My team and I develop html-based emails - The client may request 5-10 emails which essentially use the same template (swapping out images/links). Currently we simply hand-code each email. This - of course, presents time-old issues:

    1. Repetition of code - If the client requests a layout change, all 10 will have to be edited individually.
    2. Team work - We use a CVS, however the frequency of changes from the testing team can be pretty high - We run the risk of overwriting each other’s work. I’m looking to separate display logic with content.

So I’m looking using Modx to help solve our workflow issues. I have everything working nicely, the only issue I have is this:

Because each template needs to be exported and used as a stand-alone product, each image must have a src = "images/{image_name.ext}". This can simply be solved by using: <base href="{site_url/assets/images/brand/}" />

This is awesome, apart from the fact that we can’t ship the product including the <base> tag.

What I’m looking to do is place the <base> tag into a chunk (or snippet) which is then ignored by the static HTML generator. Before I go digging through core code - is there a simpler way that I’m not aware of?

    Thanks for any advice.
