I am looking for experienced MODx developers to work on a variety of upcoming website projects. Many of these projects are for well known companies (North America) and would look great on a portfolio.
General Skills:
- Great attention to detail
- Excellent troubleshooting ability
- Great communication skills (specifically English)
Required Skills:
- Very proficient with cutting up Photoshop designs and building XHTML/CSS templates (web standards compliant)
- Very familiar with cross-browser issues and dealing with IE6 (bleh)
- Setup and configuration of MODx
- Implementation of templates (proper use of chunks - no duplicate code!)
- Proper use of template variables
- Implementation of existing snippets
- Development of new snippets
- Very skilled with JavaScript - specifically jQuery
Optional/Desirable Skills:
- Experience with Google Maps API
- Experience with SOAP/Web services
- Experience with YouTube API
Contract Details:
- Per-project contracts
- Fixed-cost estimates preferred
- Net 30 payment terms
- IP ownership constraints: depends on the project
Generally, I am looking for somebody that does this type of work full-time (not an evening/weekend freelancer). You will be required to use a web project management system, and you may be required to call in via Skype.
