I’m in planning stages for a major geographic specific project and am considering to build it on modx. Imagine building Chicago.com or Germany.com in modx (not the actual projects, just examples), with travel booking (air, hotel, rental car, cruises), entertainment tickets, travel guide purchases via affiliate program, news feeds, blogging capabilities with multiple authors, a user based rating system for events and attractions (think tripadvisor.com), e-mail newsletter signups and list management, alternative templates for mobile web users, and more.
anticipated start time- Flexible, when the right people to help with the project have the time.
anticipated job duration- until its ready to launch plus future updates/upgrades.
budget constraints- I’m not a millionaire but I completely realize this work won’t be done for $59.95. Budget will depend on the experience of those involved.
payment terms- Flexible
scope of work- Mostly the modx implementation of features described above, I’ll contribute most of the design concepts once I know they can be implemented. I’m very open to design input from someone experienced in such projects. Feature creep could easily happen as I better understand what can and can not be done in modx.
IP ownership constraints (e.g., can the work be donated back to the community)- Depends on the specifics, I’m open to donating back to the community what doesn’t give away my business.
If you have experience in this area please send me a message with your modx portfolio and your rates. Thanks.
