I love the autolink module/plugin but run into a number of problems there.
Anybody willing and able to work on updating that plugin and taking care of my wishes there?
I am not a programmer, but love modx and would like to contribute by paying someone to updat this module/plugin.
Here are my current wishes: I am using some examples in here to try and make my point:
Wishlist Autolink Module/Plugin
- low back pain should go to low back pain and not to back pain page (this is fixed by using the following syntax:
o $rs = $modx->db->select(’*, CHAR_LENGTH(keyword) as sKW’, $autolinkTable,’’,’sKW DESC’);
- back pain occurrences on back pain page should not point back to self page
- formatting should not be changed, if first occurrence is Back Pain, all next ones will show Back Pain, regardless of occurrence in middle of sentence or not. Somehow the plugin seems to screw up capitals and then keeps using that.
- Use TV’s instead of global list (aim is to drill down within a major context, so with every page we only list links to pages further down in that directory.) or maybe use an override TV per page
- Use [(site_url)] in stead of full http url
- Keyword.html is not same as keyword.html this renders a not found error – I have this problem with pages that have the keyword the same as the name of the page, for example keyword sciatica, pointing to page sciatica.html Now when the capital thing takes place, the parsed results point to Sciatica.html which is not the same as sciatica.html therefore I get a not found page coming up on my site.
Thanks to anyone who would be willing to do this, I do have budget available for this.
