    Hi there,

I need to spec out and budget for the technical implementation for a conference website.

Im new to the Modx cms, and I’m trying to avoid using flash for this site - so my question is whether modx (with further dev if need be) is capable of similar "movement" produced from http://www.burton.com, with pages animating when loading, multiple image and news tickers, modules collapsing and expanding etc.

If this is possible, i will post further details such budget, time allocated, payment options etc

Thanks in advance for any help

The animatiions/effects themselves have nothing really to do with the CMS you use.
You’ll need to look at various javascript frameworks (Prototype/Scriptaculous, JQuery, YUI etc...) and choose the particular effects you want. Or get them custom coded.
When it comes to developing and managing the architecture of the site, pages and the content, you’re bang on choosing MODx for the job. Bringing cool UIs to life on top of MODx is a breeze, relatively speaking.
