I have a small interactive agency who has started using MODx for several of our clients. I have been working with one developer who has been a tremendous help, but as we are both getting busier, he has little time to assist with our projects. So im looking for someone interested in developing an ongoing relationship, and growing along with us.
These projects typically involve the following tasks:
* Basic configuration
* MODx installation (via cPanel/FTP/SSH)
* Integration of pre-designed valid HTML/CSS web template(s), including navigation using WayFinder, etc.
* Configuration of simple features like search, news, articles, etc., using the relevant snippets and add-ins
* Some custom PHP development; e.g., changes to existing snippets/plugins
For small projects, payment terms are usually 50% deposit and 50% on completion via Check or PayPal.
I provide a project brief and the contractor supplies a fixed-cost quote for the work involved.
Any work requested that falls outside the scope of the initial brief/quote would justify an additional charge.
Please get in touch if you are interested in taking on these types of small projects on an ad-hoc basis.
If you could please supply some details of recent experience with relevant projects, including any URLs or references, that would be great.
thanks,
Joe
I wrote Joe a personal message on this topic but did not receive any answer. I am not sure about it, but maybe this post is not really serious?

I emailed him on his needs and he said he’d call but he never called. Nor did he send any reply to my follow up email.

What’s wrong with being french

(aside from currently having a mad President) ?
Always wondered if canadians outside of Quebec spoke a bit of french ?
Anyway, sometimes my french pals are surprised that a few french expression make it into the english language, but hey that’s nothing compared to the reverse
But back on topic, I am no moderator of this board but this kind of thing (duplicating other people’s post) has never been part of the netiquette for sure.

Okay

In most of Canada, we are "taught" French from Grade 3 to Grade 8 or 9 and then electively until end of High School. Many phrases such as C’est la vie are ubiquitous all over North America but in parts of English Canada any of us use lots of French terms for fun. I can sort of read and understand about 60% of what people are saying if I am watching a french movie (as long as they aren’t speaking in some heavy provincial accent).
The fastest growing language in Canada next to English is Mandarin Chinese and then I think it is Hindi and Arabic.

I don’t personally think that there is anything wrong with reusing people’s posts if for a unique purpose as long as the title is changed and that the aim is in good faith to the readers/members.
