    Hello,

The company I work for is looking at setting up several sports administration websites. We can seemingly use ModX for the majority of the work, apart from league tables.

We are after a NewsPublisher style entry method which can generate a sorted league table, with elements that can be modified later.

    http://xbox360fifa.leaguerepublic.com/ has an example.

We would also require fixtures etc, but that comes later. . .

This is a fairly vague requirement, though if you could PM me rough quotes it would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Henry

That could be done with little effort using eform2db or a db module (see sotwell’s demo site for a module tutorial) to input data, and then either do a custom snippet to display the data or you could probably use the snippet loopDBchunk for this as well.

I think I would use a module to manage and a snippet to display, too bad I don’t have the time to do it. grin

Hi, I apologise for the delay in replying here, I’ve been writing up a more detailed proposal.

This sounds quite feasable. However anything sounds feasable when you’re ignorant of the technical details; I wouldn’t have a clue as to how to go about this.

I have attached a visual overview of our requirements. It would be greatly appreciated if individuals could read over it and give me a quote. I don’t mind if you PM me or post your quote in this forum.

I am more than happy if anything created goes back to the community and I think it would make ModX a worthy candidate of a CMS for sports clubs (for those who can’t do this sort of thing themselves).

I look forward to hearing your ideas/responses

        Thanks,

Very nice presentation, a lesson on how to illustrate a point. grin
Unfortunately I don’t have time to bid on this, it is a fun looking project.

Wow, thanks for this. This definitely seems to be on the right track.

Would it be possible for you to give us a quote to finish it to our specs? Unfortunately we don’t have the technical finesse to complete this to our fairly specific spec.
