I’d like to know if Modx is pronounced as in "The Mods vs Rockers" or as in "Depeche Mode"?
I’m on a cheap shared hosting package.
I had a web link resource defined like this:
http://[~n~] (n being the integer id of the Modx resource being pointed to)
Most of the time I just enter it without the preceeding http://, but in this case I had it with it.
When Hostgator upgraded to a newer MySQL, my site broke and I traced it down to a web link not resolving, whereas it was working properly before. My .htaccess had not changed, my site hadn’t been hacked and only the LAMP environment controlled by Hostgator had changed. I asked Hostgator to revert back to their previous MySQL version but this was not possible since I was on a shared package.
I’d like users opinions on whether they think it is conceivable that the MySQL version change could be the cause or whether I’m on the wrong track and that it has to have been some other issue of mine. Thanks.
