Is there a way to have a single account that provides access to both the main site and /manager directory?

Revolution drops the differences, instead it uses Contexts which you can link to users.
In Evolution you can give Manager users access to document groups (which are used to provide "member only" pages) on the add/edit user page (at the bottom).
I’m not sure if you can grant web users manager access.. don’t think so.
I looked into Revolution a few months back and found some issues with migration. One thing in particular that I recall is that the Ajax Search did not function. Has this changed?
