How up-to-date is the API reference in the online documentation? I was looking through it just now trying to find documentation on the getActiveChildren() function I found when snooping through the code for DropMenu, and I couldn’t find anything on that function in the API reference. Are there lots of other hidden treasures that aren’t in the docs?

I’m not sure what you’re asking. I don’t have any documentation to contribute. I just found a function in the DropMenu code that isn’t in the API reference in the existing docs. If you just want me to let you know what things that I find which are missing from the docs. I’d be happy to do that. I would also be glad to contribute to the effort at some future date, but, right now, I don’t know enough to do that. I’m still trying to understand this great (but overwhelming) application.

The function that I didn’t find any documentation for is getActiveChildren(). It used in the DropMenu snippet.

Sorry ddecjc, re-reading your post carefully I realized that I misunderstood your question.

Indeed some of the stuff in API reference is not up-to-date yet, so please bear with us... its coming soon smiley, and if you find anything missing in the docs, don’t hesitate to notify us.

          Thanks and regards,

Thanks. Looking forward to it. I’ve been lurking around here for a few months, but I have just recently started to build two sites based on MODx, so I’m desperate to learn! There just aren’t enough hours in the day!

I’m pretty sure Wendy made a comprehensive list with brief explanations somewhere on the board, but I can’t find it.

              Wendy?
