SMF_UserComments documentation

Hello,

I’m very fond of the way are displayed the users comment on the ModXSite. Mark Kaplan have post his SMF_UserComments, but I don’t find any documentation. I’ve tried to look in the code but I still don’t understand how the snippet recognize the User is register on the forum or not.

How to change parameters to use my forum users and my forum resitration page ?

The SMF_UserComments simply checks if you are logged into your SMF forum, and if so, allows you to comment on the article.

I’ve study the code to understant how it works and as you can see on my other posts the problem are due to bugs, in the downloaded snippet

Mark has just post the last version of SMF_UserComments in the topic http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,3845.msg27792.html#msg27792

To install it, just change all paths like "www.modxcms.com/forums/..." or "/forums/index.php" by yours. And change the path to the SSI.php (first line of the snippet) to the root folder of SMF.
The snippet works like the original UserComments. You can use 3 new placeholders :

• [+forumuser+]
• [+avatar+]
• [+forumprofile+]
