  • Hi all,

It would be really useful for me if I could set Manager permissions to only allow editing of TV values in a given resource. This way, I set up all the user-configurable items as TVs (including Content - that seems to be available in the TV tab by default, yes?) and the user can change TV values all day long without ever touching the resource settings (even pagetitle, etc would be hidden which is what I want).

The other option would be a simple UX that edits TV values...like a mini-Manager (think QuickUpdate) that only edits what you let it edit. Anyone build this already?

    Cheers,
    Sepia River

What version of MODx? In Revolution, you can create form customization rules to do most of what you want. Another option is NewsPublisher, which allows editing any selected set of fields of a document in the front end. There is also an Evolution version of NewsPublisher, but I don’t know if it works with the current version of Evo.

      • Thanks for the tip, BobRay. I’ll look at those options - it’ll be a new Revo site, although I would use something like this for all my sites...
