This morning, after several minutes’ work on a new resource, I hit Save. My Internet connection chose that moment to drop out, exposing what I consider to be a problem with the way the manager works - instead of either finishing the save when the connection came back up (which it did in a few minutes) or else displaying a "save unsuccessful" message and returning me to the edit window, the "Saving" dialog went into an infinite cycle; it wouldn’t complete and it wouldn’t leave the screen so I could recover my entered information. I finally had to hit Refresh and create the resource all over again.
Granted, this wasn’t a huge setback in my case and the coincidence of timing that caused it is not likely to occur often. However, due to the potential for lost work, I suggest that a feature to handle this situation be included in a future release.
Do you agree? If so, I will file an improvement request in the bugtracker.
