Hallo modx-Developer team,
on thing is driving me for some time now: Why do "template VARIABLES" use the tag syntax "[[*tv]]" und not "[[$tv]]"? In php the "$" marks a variable. In modx "$" marks a chunk. This is somehow confusing.
Why did you descide to use the "*" instead of the "$"? Not that this is realy important but so, I allways have to think about how to use a TV (in a modx sense ;-).
best

Historically, MODx (and Etomite before it) used [*...*] for the resource values, and since TVs are in a large sense extensions to resource values the same tags were used for them as well.

OK, "Historically" is what I also thought. Well, you cannot fight history. At least now I do not have to wonder anymore. Thanks, Susan.
