How awesome would it be to have Aviary’s Phoenix integrated as a default image editor in MODx? I assume it’s something that could be done with the Aviary API. If you’re reading this and don’t know what Aviary Phoenix (http://aviary.com/tools/image-editor) is... it’s basically a light weight, free online Flash version of Photoshop. It rules and even dumb clients can learn how to resize, crop, add text and change canvas size in this little thang.

    Thoughts, folks?

      Hi,

well, even if Aviary "ps light" is really impressive, i admit i’m not sure to be willing to see flash arrival in MODx admin... but, sure it would be great to have something similar to the image edition (resizing, cropping) you can find in Automne cms admin file management.

Actually, i think that as soon as Revo GA is released i’ll work on a plugin of that kind (it’s something i’ve already written for the admins i code from scratch (but using mootools, my one and only js framework..., for the "front end" part). The toughest for me part will probably be understanding how to achieve that with ext.js in order to distribute the plugin

      to be followed...

Well, I know most JScript libraries don’t play nice with eachother, but if I’m not mistaken jQuery has a noconflict mode. If that’s feasible, consider this:

Very bare-bones, exactly what it needs to do, no more no less smiley.
        • Pardon the necromancy, but how about Feather from Aviary? http://www.aviary.com/html5

It's small, customizable, soon to be open source and skinnable, not flash, and it rocks smiley
