    Hello,
I think it will be a great feature for modx to have a native web forms utility. With this feature, we could design a kind of content and work with it. For example, supose we need to create a list of our company staff and we need to show: name, ocupation and email. We could design a form with these three fields and then, create the content. Now, it’s time to publish, we could drag and drop it, o embed it in any way into the content editor, creating the two frontend pages needed: listing and inner. The presentation could be set using chunks. There are external utilities such as machform. I think Alfresco and SilverStripe have similar features. It is another great step to make modx bigger smiley
What do you think about it?

No, but I like it smiley
The app I’m talking about is not to publish forms. We can create a new form to use it in the manager. For example, in a real estate website, employees will need to add information about the properties from the manager such as: photos, title, description, materials, etc. These form could be designed in the manager, and make it avalaible to create new content. The form is not shown in the frontend, the information saved is what is shown.

To me that sounds just like creative use of template variables and user/document permissions build-in MODx? MODx document/resource itself is quite versatile form. Or if you have hundreds of different data items there’s also dbEdit: http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,32720.0.html
