invoke event (for plugin) in the manager tree frame

OK, honestly, SilverStripe does good.

We can do similar, even easier and better if the core code provides the event invoking to that area.

Eg: image browsing for gallery.

Please file a request in JIRA, or it’s almost guaranteed to get lost. Given that, some protocode or discussion here would certainly be in order.

Before we file any JIRA tickets, let’s discuss what exactly you are talking about...

Why not having that image browser inside the manager tree frame?

Or just like XnView.

In my case,
While I was developing Easy 2 Gallery (which has its directory browser inside the Module’s frame) I thought about the problem of selecting the gallery/image ID.
People must go forward-backward from Page Edit Mode to Module page to check/get the ID.

This story can be also happened to other galleries (like video or sound files).

Furthermore,
If you want to, you can make anything that should be easier to be used with Tree browsing type:
- Users list
- Projects list (CRM)
- Mini Calendar (Ms Outlook style)
- TODO/TASKS
- MySQL Tables/Fields
- ... you name it...
