I know people that have a great experience in using MODx and creating hundreds and thousands of their own snippets. But I don’t have that yet, and almost each time I have to creat some new snippet I have to look through the wiki to be sure I write the API functions and their parameters correctly. I wastes realy much time.

So I have a question. Is it ever possible to develop a syntax hinter for snippet creation, for example like there is in Bluementals RapidPHP editor or almost any other editor, showing hints on function-complition and function-parameters. I think it would be a great help for those, who don’t remember clearly all the needed API functions.

    Thank you.

I already have this with NetBeans, or Eclipse with PDT or PHPEclipse, or any other decent PHP IDE. I don’t think this is ever going to be practical for web-based editing, but maybe someone out there knows better than I do.

I have a folder in my bookmarks just for the links to all this stuff; plus I have a MODx docs folder on my desktop where I keep all the docs for everything I ever use, plus a lot of wiki pages I’ve saved as PDF files (on a Mac, you just Print -> PDF, Save As PDF).
