Forum - best to use with modx and working example?

Hi guys

I have read several threads about forum addons but really would like to hear which you guys like best and preferably see some working examples!

Cheers guys!

The MODx Forum is simple SMF styled to look like the main website. Nothing more actually!

I like Vanilla myself, but the last time I set it up with a MODx site was two or three years ago.

Has anyone tried Discuss for Revolution?

Cracking job cheers guys! Can you show me a working example of Vanilla, Susan? I did take a look at this and looks good but wanted to see an end result if you’re with me?

Cheers - as always you are troupers!

how you can integrate vanilla as snippet and use modx-users and modx-login, see here:

a working example: http://bruno.tattoocms.de/Forum.html

you can login to try the forum with guest/guestpasword

Bob,

I haven’t tried Discuss personally, but Shaun did a demo of it at MODxpo and it appears to be the perfect solution for a simple forum on MODx. If anyone needs a forum that’s completely integrated into the MODx user management, I’d suggest Discuss + Revolution.

Cheers,

Jonathan

FYI, Discuss will have bugs, since it’s still in alpha. It’s not totally *done* yet.

Thanks Bruno - will have a shfty

Is it planned to use a custom friendly URL Mode with Discuss?
