I’ve used the new ability to create .tpl files for chunks, snippets, modules, and plugins with a PHP header and have been able to install MODx with all my standard features, including chunks for blogs, Google Maps, etc. and so forth.

Is there any way to also install the numerous template variables that are used along with these elements. For example I have TVs for each of the GoogleMap parameters, TVs for SEO, TVs for Blogging, TVs for media, etc. As far as I can tell these will still have to be manually created on each install even though I use them as standard on each site (or will have to execute a DB import).

It would be create if we could create TVs that could be installed as are the .tpl files we create. Does this already exist?

It’s relatively easy to setup with MODx Revolution. I don’t know if it’s as easy with Evolution.

This should be in a future Evo release.
