Hi,
I need to create an XML feed with a very specific file name for a realestate portal.
They request the file name start with the agentid, be unique (i.e. use the current date+time), and have no spaces.
I know of two ways to name a document - through friendly URL’s with the document alias field and through the index.php?id=1 method.
I was thinking I would need to hack the document alias field to automatically generate the required name (so the client can’t make a mistake and jeopardize the agreement with the real estate portal)
Does anybody have any idea how I could do this?
Or does anybody know of any exisitng solution or a much better solution than the one I proposed?
Thanks heaps,
Global
Thanks ganeshXL for the quick reply.
I guess the trouble with query strings would be the parameters. I think the file name has to be pretty strict, so it would have to be, for example: johndoe_2009-09-09_13-42-08.XML. I dont think it would accept: ?agentid=johndoe&date=2009-09-09&time=13-42-08.XML
Unfortunately Im still pretty green when it comes to snippet creation and I have never created a plugin before.

Global
