A simple text TV plus the tagging module from the ManagerManager plugin makes for a great tagging solution inside the manager. From there, you can use Ditto’s tagging extender to filter content based on tags.

I could use a hand with this... I’m pretty new to ModX, loving it so far. But I can’t seem to get anywhere on a simple proof of concept for taxonomy.
I’ve tried out the Related snippet, took a look at ManagerManager, but I’m still just not getting anywhere.
Here’s my scenario.
I have several ’content types’. These are simply folders in the tree.
* Trails
** trail one
** trail two
* Waterfalls
** waterfall one
** waterfall two
** etc
* Campsites
I would like to allow front end users to browse all of these content types by category, specifically by county:
* Counties
** Avery County
** Buncombe County
** Mitchell County
So what I need is a way to associate any trail, waterfall, or campsite to a category/county. Then when viewing a county page, I would like to display any trails, waterfalls, or campsites that match that county. Keeping in mind that some content items can span multiple counties, i.e. long hiking trails.
So I’ve got the TV set up with no problem, and it seems to be working. I used a @SELECT to load in the documents beneath Counties for the TV select list. So associations seem to be working.
But now I’m stuck on trying to get my county pages to display docs that match the currently selected county. I’ve tried many Ditto snippets, but just not seeing it yet.
Any help here? A little guidance or a point in the right direction?
I know I’m close, and I know I probably just can’t get it b/c I’m a newbie to ModX and am still learning the ropes...
Many, many thanks!!!
