I’m working with Wordpress and I’m not happy with the performance of Wordpress, now I have installed Modx 0,96 the performance is better then from Wordpress but then I’ve read that Modx is gonna rewritten so I will not change from Wordpress to ModX. When will be the new Modx revolution published? is there any performance improvments ? I want to use a cms System which is fastest.
If you look to the Performance of e107, or PhpFusion, they are very fast, will the new Revolution faster then both?
Sweet that you found MODx outperformed WP, others have recently gone from WP to MODx based on better SEO capabilities but performance is also a key benefit.
I can’t say anything on MODx performance because it is out of my scope.
However, the concern regarding the new version is not necessary for 2 reasons:
1) the new ’version’, Revolution, will have full migration functions to make the switch relatively seamless so your work will be preserved.
2) the current branch will continue to exist and get better as it incorporates a few things developed for the Revolution branch.
Ultimately you will not be forced to switch, it will be up-to-you.
