Who's Online

I haven’t seen this, so I thought I’d post it.

I’d love to see in the manager a Who’s Online snippet that shows who is using the front end of the system and the page they are on, time they came online, and the referring page.

It’s there. In the manager, go to the site tab. On the manager ’home’ page you’ll see tabs for [*site_name*], modx news, security notices, recent documents, info, and online

it’s very easy to do. if you have skills in PHP you may write snippet with what are you wants just a copy/past & edit from /manager/action/welcome.static.php. The code that you are need start from (near) #136 line and end to #173 line.

But if you don’t want/can write snippet by youself, PM to me and i do it for you with fee free (just for fun). realy!

I’m not a php guy, but I think there might be others who would be interested in this snippet. It would be good to add to the resource library.

Hi, everybody.

i would like to present to you this little snippet. Let’s say 0.01 version

code in attachment of this post. Instructions is very simple:

1. ugzip archive
2. create new snippet in Manager interface, call it however you like
3. copy/past in new snippet code from file opossum_who_is_online_snippet.php
4. edit some variables in code (for change output layout)
5. call snippet w/o cache. that is [!your_snippet_cool_name!]
6. enjoy!


As for me i plan to add some feature: like full chunk support and more placeholders (there i need feedback from you.)

important note: in the snippet code is "param" SHOW_MANAGERS if it set as true then to the ’online users list’ also will be put SITE MANGERS (NOT WEBUSERS GROUP) who work in back-end.
