There are a lot of different ways to debug php scripts. Can you be more specific about what Eclipse tools you are using or want to use and what kind or style of debugging you are after?

Yes, I want to debug snippet when add php code for MODx, and I want to use IDE eclipse PHP plugins as framework to debug.

I am also having the same problem and want to debug the snippets. How to do that. If in this new eclipse php helios can be useful please suggest.

Go to whatever PHP extension’s site you use and search how to setup your debugging environment. This has nothing to do with MODx specifically, and you should be able to step through using remote debugging using xdebug with PDT or PHPEclipse.
