It would be nice if you could access the manager without needing to create/edit a page. I have a system that works out of a folder of images and I would like to enable other managers to add images to that folder without needing to dig into a page.
That and I don’t allow them access to file manager before someone suggests that..
I hope this makes some sense..

I’ve used this script in the past in a similar situation, its simple and works quite well

I did something similar, but another way. I created a page that only shows in the menu for logged in web users and put the FileUpload snippet on that page set to automatically save the uploaded files in the appropriate folder. They upload strictly through the front end.

I was actually thinking a link in the manager to access the resource browser (with ability to access common locations files, images, and media) so I could just click like Site > Resource Browser instead of editing a page > create link/image > open resource browser...
Thanks for the other ideas they may be useful some of my other projects.

I wanted to spare them from the Manager altogether. If they’re Manager users, I figure asking them to right-click on a document and select edit isn’t too much of a burden.
