      No not just now smiley
      I simply scrutinised the list of events and walked through some of the code.

      Anyone creating folders like this may consider to add an ’empty’ index.html file to it to avoid anyone browsing being able to see the directory listing by the way.

          Good point !

          Maybe we could use the existing alias auto-generation scheme there ?

            I just got down to test the plugin and I have a problem the folder is not created (I checked in assets/files/) and the error message is not displayed I get this instead :

            '; var boxHtml = new MooPrompt('Alerte système', sysAlert, { buttons: 1, button1: 'Ok', width: 500 }); });

            Issue with $modx->webAlert ?

            About failing to create the folder, PHP is running as an Apache module that might explain the permission issue... is there any way to go past these or should I ask my server admin to recompile with some kind of suExec ?

                The failure to create a folder is definitively a permission problem. How to solve that in your case I don’t know. Does setting permissions to 777 not work?

                As far as the webAlert is concerned, sorry,... I must admit I never tested it for failure embarrassed
                I did now and I’m getting something like this instead of a proper alert:

                ’ +’’ +’’ +’
                down
                ’ +’’ +’’; sysAlertWindow = new Floater(’sysAlertWindow’,src,(document.ua.ie ? 10:25),10,"top-right"); }); function closeSystemAlerts() { if(sysAlertWindow) sysAlertWindow.style.visibility = "hidden"; }; // Scroller functions var timer = 0,speed = 0; function scrollup(){ var navbar = document.getElementById ? document.getElementById("navbar"):document.all["navbar"]; var navbarc = document.getElementById ? document.getElementById("navbarcontent"):document.all["navbarcontent"]; var navbarheight= parseInt(navbar.style.height); var navbaractualheight= parseInt(navbarc.offsetHeight); var nctop =
                ...chopped the rest - you get the picture no doubt....

                In my case this indeed seems to be caused by the inserted webAlert javascript. This line contains a </script> tag inside a string and is interpreted by the browser as the end of the script, thus spitting out the following lines as plain text.
                +'<div><b>webUserCreateFolder</b> - <span style=\'color:maroon;\'>OnWebSaveUser</span></div><div style=\'margin-left:10px;margin-top:3px;\'>An error occurred while loading. Please see the event log for more information.<p /><script> window.setTimeout(\"alert(\'Unable to create user folder!\');\",100);</script><hr>'

                Now if this is a bug or simply an inappropriate use of the webAlert method I’m not sure.
                For the moment I’ve simply replaced webAlert with a die(’User saved but unable to create user folder. Please check the parent folder has the correct permissions set’);
