I have moved several sites from local to *whatever* environment without any problem. However on my latest site, when I run the installer, and get an install success message, I am unable to log in.

I can click the "login" button, but nothing happens. After several clicks of nothing happening - It lets me in and the GUI is completely wacky. I am also getting things like this in the URL: www.mysite.com/manager/index.php?a=1&f=menu
I’ve never seen my sites have a query string within the manager before.

Has anyone run into this before? I on Rackspace Cloud hosting environment...dunno if that has anything to do with it or not. Like I said, this is the first time I’ve run into this.

    Thank you for your time!

This is the process I have/am using in the past and has worked without any problems.
    Movging Site To Another Location

I wonder if this is my host causing the problems? I am (sometimes) able to log into my members area with WebloginPE without problems. I click a link once I have logged in, then I am taken to my "Unauthorized" page... as though I haven’t logged in yet.

All of this is completely random. Every now-and-then I am able to log into the manager, and my members area without any problems at all.

If/when I am able to log into the manager, I am able to clear the cache. I have a ton of files...
"Cache: Found 12 files in cache directory and deleted 8 cache files." - I’ve never had that many before. Would that be a cache problem from the host? Maybe why it seems It isn’t carrying any session information across pages?

Clear your cache files out manually via sftp or ftp ...

If in a shell at your modx root (unix host) you could type

      rm /assets/cache/docid_*

Then clear your browser cache. See if the issues persist.

Thank you for your response netdoctor!
Everything was the "fault" (not really a fault) of Rackspace. I was having all kinds of session/cache problems - only on this one site.

        Here is what I found:
