It takes forever to upload modx files, isn’t there something you can do to skim down the files, there has to be a way

Ideally in a perfect modx world it should take less than 2 mins to upload all the files he he yes i know i’m dreaming grin

Well in the future you might see something in the order of a ~50KB file that you’d upload and it’d allow you to do a complete MODx install. Would that be interesting to you? (I’ve seen it work with MODx and it’s cool!)

In the interim, uploading an archive file and then logging in via SSH to untar or unzip the archive makes for a fast upload. The file count honestly won’t change all that much anytime soon.

And if you have ssh, you can upload the zipped file with scp, which at least to me seems a good deal faster than ftp.

I’m wondering if we can remove some files that we may not be using like if we disabled editor and resource browser are they any files connected with these that we could remove to make modx files lighter ?
