    A simple modification for the stripAlias function. Before stripping every characters that are not A to z or numeric, use a simple mechanism to change accentuated characters to their non-accentuated equivalent. This way, french words like ’élève’ would become ’eleve’ instead of the meaningless: ’lve’.

    $alias = htmlentities($alias);
    $alias = preg_replace("/&([a-z])[a-z]+;/i","$1",$alias);

    Thanks smiley
