Pretty much everything about MODx works (after a bit of tinkering) just the way you’d expect it to - if not better!
The one thing that’s a slight niggle to me is that there’s no way when you’re uploading images to use in your page to have a thumbnail automatically created, and then when you’re filling out the ALT text etc to tick a box and add the thumbnail into your page with a link automatically created to the larger version.
With other CMS’s already having auto-thumbnailing, and most larger forums sporting this feature, it seems a shame that it’s not here.
Having said that, MODx is in a bit of a unique situation here, as the resource manager and WYSIWIG editor are third-party components. However you can set some TinyMCE settings in the Settings area od the Manager, so could something perhaps be expanded upon there to override a particular TinyMCE function to make it do custom things?
Just a thought - not really sure what’s possible.
have you seen the phpthumb snippet/tv combos here on forums? search for "lightbox phpthumb" for example..
