Google Ajax Search API

I was wondering if anyone as been looking at this for a replacement to the AjaxSearch snippet. It seems like if integrated well, it would alleviate the problems with the snippet being unable to search the dynamically created content outside of the [*content*] tag (i.e. TVs, Chunks).

I am just playing with it and still far away from understanding it enough to turn it into a snippet. But you can see my hack attempts at integrating it with the Multiflex-3 template. You can check it out here:

I doubt I will have the time to turn this into a snippet, so I’m wishing for it at this point :-D
