Hello! I’m a new user to MODx and I’m looking for a way to integrate iCal into a page. I’m working with BJ at Kickass Web Design on a new site, barrylyga.com. She suggested I check in here to see if anyone has any wisdom on this particular issue.
Basically, right now I can publish a calendar to Apple’s .Mac servers and use something like PHP iCalendar (
http://phpicalendar.net/) to "see" it and pull data from it on a non-MODx site. So I would need something like PHP iCalendar, probably as a chunk or a snippet, where I could just point to the iCal file and set some parameters and have the calendar data show up on the MODx page in question.
Sort of like this:
http://fanboyandgothgirl.com/event-calendar/. (That’s a WordPress page that I cobbled together with some frames. Not very pretty, but it gets the job done.) I’m hoping for a more integrated solution with MODx.
I’m VERY new to all of this, but if anyone can point me in the right direction, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks!
Barry
