Since I don’t believe this is currently possible, it would be helpful to be able to set the order that TVs are presented either for layout logic or frequency of use.

I just split a sidebar TV into two TVs, and in doing so, noticed that the new TV ends up below all of the other TVs, but I would like to have the two related sidebar TVs together instead of....

    TVsidebar1
    TVmostlyINHERITrarelyChanged
    TVsomeOther
    TVyetAnother
    TVsidebar2

Putting the two sidebar TVs together, ordering TVs based on page layout, or being able to place TVs that are rarely changed, such as a mostly @INHEIRT useage at the bottom of the list would be a great usability feature.

put a number in the sort order form field (right below widget when you are editing or creating a tv). 0 for the tv you want listed first, then numbered progressively in the order you want them to be displayed. I generally number by 10s so I can insert new tvs in between existing ones if I need too

And I just discovered that in 0.9.5, when editing a template, there is an "Assigned Template Variables" tab, with an "Edit the sort order..." link, which gives you the ability to drag-and-drop the items to order them!

Even better! That is too cool. I noticed that as well, but hadn’t actually clicked on it and explored it until now.

            Great find Sottwell!
