Email alerts when content is added, changed or removed

I don’t know if anyone has mentioned or asked for this but I would like an option to allow email alerts when a user adds, changes or removes content from the system.

So for instance if I had 15 editors for the site it would fire off an email to them saying

Hello <editor>

<user> has just made a change to the <page> on <date>.

To see the page please login to your editor account <link to account>

I have done this for the Jot snippet.. a simple adaption of my existing code plugged into some manager events would make this possible. If i have time i will try to get you a solution.

That would be nice bS, though xyzvisual has posted some code there yesterday for this particular purpose, though I did not try it and it’s not documented.

Only addition i can give to that is a function that will get the e-mail adresses for a particular Manager user group and it’s a complete plugin
I even think it should be a nice core addition (in plugin form).

Would be real nice to have this as a core plugin.
