For some items on my site I would like to use a TV with the inputtype "Listbox (multiselect)". But unfortunately my content editors can not get teh hang of multiselecting with the CTRL and/or SHIFT while clicking items. This usually results in the original selection being lost and the editor does not know how to restore the selection.

I would propose to change the input widget to something like shown below (note this is only a mockup):

The left list shows the available selections, the right list shows the currently selected options (maybe some labels should be added to make this more clear). You can select 1 or more entries in the left list and then press the ">" button (maybe it should be named "Add"). Then the selected items will be moved to the right list. Removing items from the right list goes in a similar way, but now pressing the "<" button (probably should be named "Remove").

This still allows users that know how to use the CTRL/SHIFT modifiers to make selection to do that with only 1 added mouseclick and it will allow users that do not understand it to add or remove items from the selection 1 by 1 without a chance of losing the initial selection.

Very good idea Mitch. Please file this in the bugtracker as a feature request. Thanks.
