I know that there is a limited search option in modx that looks tru the documents for words but there is no option to replace those found words/phrases.

I am working on a big site now and had to replace a product name in about 80 pages no fun so I downloaded the content table did a search and replace in notepad and imported that table again using phpmyadmin. but this is not realy an option for an end user. and it would save lots of time if it was posible insite modx.

I would like to put in my own request for a good search and replace utility in MODx. As good as MODx is, this is a feature that really needs to be a part of the manager interface.

Yup, I’d find that useful too.

There’s talk of versioning in 1.0, which would mean that there would be scope for "revert" for when search & replace goes wrong (eg accidentally replacing "a" with blank).
No, I don't know what OpenGeek's saying half the time either.
