I hope this is the correct board to request this module. smiley

I am aware that there is a MODX-SMF-bridge available. But I don’t need a bridge with that much features and especially any features that modifies SMF database data from MODx. Bridges and other modules which write data to other application’s database is just that much error-prone compared to read-only.

In short this module would work like this when an user tries to log in:
    1) Module checks SMF member table for username and password and lets the user to log in if both are correct.
    2) Module adds user to the MODx user and group tables for MODx specific settings if the user does not already exist in the MODx tables.

With this MODx or the module would never write to the SMF tables, it only reads and adds the data to MODx tables if not already present. If someone would have enough know-how and time to create this simpler version of the SMF bridge, I would be very grateful. Thanks. smiley
