    What is XML-RPC?

It’s a spec and a set of implementations that allow software running on disparate operating systems, running in different environments to make procedure calls over the Internet.

It’s remote procedure calling using HTTP as the transport and XML as the encoding. XML-RPC is designed to be as simple as possible, while allowing complex data structures to be transmitted, processed and returned.

It’s what WordPress, Blogger, Moveable Type, etc... use for remote blogging.

XML-RPC and other service-oriented extensions will be a major part of the 1.0 rewrite. You will be able to create a document/page in MODx 1.0 that serves as an XML-RPC, Ajax, or other type of resource, to which you can send XML requests and receive appropriate responses. And you could easily use XML-RPC with MODx as is, so the 1.0 plans are really nothing more than conveniences to help manage your XML-RPC or Ajax resources. A lot more research and development will be done in this area once 1.0 is completed, for additional extensions to help you manage your XML-RPC, Ajax or other similar resources.

Well, the most universal solution seems like it would be to implement the Blogger API,
