Template variables, love them, hate them!

TVs are a blessings. It makes live much easier than I ever could dream..

Now dig this, if you use several tvs for one template and now you add a slightly modded template to your line up.. (especially happens frequently when you make new template or convert them)

So my sugestion to make it is easy to list the available TVs also in the template as available and can be selected when we edit the template.

And talking about our lovely TVs. Please make the default value screen a lot bigger. If ou use more than 5 lines we have a hard time to read it or troubleshoot the TV.

I personally with those 2 improvements the TV becomes the creative power of MODx.

In the next release, we’ve got a really amazing bulk document manger that allows you to change all sorts of things regarding one or more docs simultaneously. Hopfully Garryn will see this thread and be inspired to apply similar logic to TVs.

It would be a huge win!! Faster and quicker manipulation of the docs and settings make our live SO much easier..

When the TVs become easier to add or remove to templates especially for ppl who develop themes.

I have long since gotten the habit of editing just about everything in an external syntax-coloring editor and copy/pasting the text and saving. It felt awkward at first, but now it seems quite natural.

I dig, Crimson editor is my prefered editor ...

If you mean the ability to add/remove TV’s against a range of documents - I don’t see why not, it’s a great idea.
