I think Optional Items in the installation procedure should be imported from a repository database on the MODx site and not in the package.

Interesting idea, maybe for when MODx is on SourceForge? My pet peeve is that you have to deselect them all one by one if you don’t want them all (unless I missed something somewhere).

Perhaps this could be the defualt to ensure the latest OFFCIAL plugins / snippets and modules are provided, however you should also be able to give it a directory to locate them in case you are setting it up in a non internet enviroment (say intranet)
