I think a good idea would be to add a template handler for the manager, I know future update ideas are to change the look using CSS and the like, however I notice a lot of code is currently mixed in with the appearance, Perhaps this is in the works, however most of the discussions I’ve seen about it are current hacks on the manager. Even if it was a simplified templating that made it easy for developers to change the layout and structure would be great.

Also an Interface API that provides uniform admin display such as buttons, form controls, AJAX functions, window boxes, etc that modules and the like could use to blend in with the current manager theme and require less time developing module interfaces.

MODx is great as it is, no doubt about that, and im sure will only get better with time.

Those are great suggestions... I can’t agree more on separating presentation and content as much as it can be done. I think that’s the venue being pursued in the manager overhaul, but I can’t give any details.

The API sounds great, but I am way beyond my skill scope here, can’t wait to have the dev team’s input on this, will watch this thread closely...

I do in fact believe you’ll see exactly that type of thing in the future.
