Would it be posible to create your own tv options and widgets without hacking the core files? like a module/plugin would work?
that way we could add new idea’s (color pickers and other js stuff) that can be called in a tv.
but maby that is already planned for TV2

I would love to see that! In fact, I kind of have a need for it right now. What I would like is the ability to add on my own image upload widget that not only uploads an image but resizes it to a specific size and creates a thumbnail at the same time. I have some scripts to do this already...just need the ability to program my own widget for a custom TV variable to make it work.

That would be awesome. I hope to be able to write a plugin that will search the output for image tags and generate cached resized versions of the images. Probably not the sort of thing you’d want to do unless you’ve got caching turned on but should come in handy for the sites that do.
